Maddie-Made Lemonade!

Maddie-Made Lemonade!

Madelyn, age 7, decided that the Houston heat called for one thing - ICE COLD LEMONADE! She gathered her cousins to make signs and helped her mom make regular and strawberry lemonade. They found a shady spot near their neighborhood pool and set up her "Maddie-Made Lemonade Stand!"

With signs and shouts to passers by, they explained that they were raising money to support Reverb Community Impact and students at Armstrong Elementary. Madelyn and her family sold lemonade to all their friends and neighbors as well as a truck full of fire fighters and their neighborhood postal workers!

At the end of the day, Madelyn learned what it takes to sell something, how to count change to customers and so much more. Reverb maintains a resource room at Armstrong called the "Gator Swamp." Madelyn and her neighborhood lemonade stand made enough money to stock the Gator Swamp with shirts and pants for children in need at the school. We are so grateful for her contribution and would say this little entrepreneur is well on her way to a budding career!
